Terms of Use

Last updated: July 14, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Forge Atelier Numérique inc. ("we", "us") for the Gather app. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use Gather on devices you own or control. On iOS, the Apple Standard EULA applies to this app except where these Terms add to it. On Android, your use of Google Play is also governed by the Google Play Terms of Service.

The AI features and their output

Gather includes optional AI features that generate cooking suggestions, steps, and nutrition estimates. This content is produced by an AI model (Anthropic's Claude) and is provided for general informational purposes only:

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app or the AI service — for example, by attempting to break, overload, or reverse-engineer it, by using it for unlawful purposes, or by trying to access it other than through the app.

Subscriptions

Gather offers an auto-renewable subscription, "Gather AI", that unlocks AI features.

Purchases and refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms or by Google under the Google Play terms.

Your content

You keep ownership of the recipes and content you create. They are stored on your device and in your own cloud account (see the Privacy Policy); we claim no rights to them.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The app and AI output are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or reliance on AI-generated content. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law, including Quebec's Consumer Protection Act, that cannot be waived by contract.

Changes

We may update these Terms as the app changes; the "Last updated" date will reflect the latest version. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. These Terms are also available in French.
